The star watched the team get knocked out the tournament on Monday night after 2-1 shock defeat to Iceland
Coleen Rooney has defended herself after fans trolled her over England's performance in Euro 2016 insisting she was just as "gutted" as the fans.
The team, captained by hubby Wayne Rooney, crashed out of the tournament on Monday night after a shock defeat by Iceland, leading to the immediate resignation of manager Roy Hogdson.
Criticism of the dire performance was also levelled at Coleen's other half, with fans abusing her and asking Wayne to step down as England captain.
Insisting she was just as upset, she tweeted: "Everyone's entitled to their opinions but am Gutted like every other England fan."
She then retweeted a message of support that stated: "Don't understand people giving @ColeenRoo abuse on here. Did she play? Did she pick the team? She was there supporting the lads. Behave"
Fans vented their anger over England's disappointing campaign on Twitter following the match in Lille, where Coleen had watched with her son Kai.
"Tell your man to step the f*** down and let someone else to the job!! Rooney was the worst last night!," one wrote, while another continued: "@ColeenRoo your husband is a massive let down you could do so much better #granny's haggler."
Another claimed: "as per your husband should never be allowed to wear the shirt ever again#sticking waster"
Coleen also vented her anger over the front page of The Sun the following day, which featured her son Kai crying in the stand after the defeat.
She wrote: "Yes I've seen that front page and it's absolutely shocking!!"
