ICELAND 1-1 HUNGARY: LATE OWN GOAL PEGS BACK UNDERDOGS

Iceland came agonisingly close to following up their plucky draw against Portugal with a first-ever victory in a major international tournament, as Hungary clawed back a late 1-1 draw. Gylfi Sigurdsson hit from the penalty spot 39 minutes in to leave Iceland on the brink of a famous triumph. Hungary were on top throughout, however, and finally broke the islanders' hearts three minutes from time when Birkir Saevarsson turned into his own net.
